These exercises should only be performed after evaluation by a qualified medical professional and under their instruction. Should you experience pain or discomfort while doing an exercise, stop immediately.
Sit comfortably in an upright position. Using your right hand, grasp the handle of a therapy band as if you were holding a cup of coffee. The band is firmly attached to a pole, bedpost, or door handle and positioned behind your right shoulder and directly to the side. Your right arm and elbow should be parallel to the floor and your elbow bent at a 90-degree angle. Maintaining a slight curve in your elbow, bring your hand and arm in a curving motion across your body to the left. The therapy band provides resistance. You'll feel muscles contracting in your right chest and shoulder. Relax and return to the starting position.
